Excellent video documenting the career of Attila The Stockbroker that discusses the politics, family life and passion that drives his poetry. The perfect irony of the name Attila the Stockbroker is wonderful. Thirty-five years ago when he first chose it the suggestion of savage/respectable can be viewed very differently now as we know more about Attila the Hun and we certainly know more about the carnage caused by stockbrokers as they ride polish-shod through the lives of those less fortunate.

Attila also points out the truism that poets who make people laugh aren’t really seen as ‘proper poets’ by ‘the establishment’…which is a bummer for me as I have already bought a tweed jacket.
